Not sure if it's the one you're talking about or not since CSI is legendary for driving us nuts with the great music used in their promos, but right now they have one running that uses the song "9 Crimes" by Damien Rice (with Lisa Hannigan). It's a beautiful song.

it wasn't hallelujah was it? That was on a commerical and it is so pretty, so it might be it, if so it is Hallelujiah by Rufus Wainwright
