That depends on what I will use it for. If you want to store massive amounts of music and video, I'd want a desktop. However, if I need a mobile PC more than a desktop, I'd go with a laptop.

Laptop definetly because of it's portability, and wireless features.
Dont shoot me, but 6 of 6 computers at my home are laptops and they serve as good as desktops

Unless you HAVE to use the machine on the road, a desktop PC is better every time.
Better keyboard, better display and it can be fixed if it breaks.

i have both. they all have their pros and cons, so i use my notebook for work and study, and desktop (at weekends) for games 2 relax.
