It's so scary isn't it how some parents live their lives through their children in the Little League, pageants, drama school and so on. This is not always the case but there are a lot of examples of driven parents who just end up removing their children's childhood with devastating effects. MJ is just one example.
The Harry Potter kids seem grounded and have grown up in front of us without incident.
Pushy parents are every where but most of them mean well and I wish their children the best.
Peace

No I don't thinks so.

Just look at hillary Duff She did Casper meet Wendy when she was only 11 yrs old. Then from the saturday show "Lizzie McGuire" she did growing up even thor the storyline was only during the jr.high time. Then she made some movies like "Cinderalla story", "Cheaper by the Dozen"

But there's been news that kids start everything as early as jr. high or elementery school on sex, drugs, and drinking.

So I'm not too worry about the Harry Potter kids.

I can't see why not, it happened to the Artful Dodger in Oliver, aka Jack Wilde, but I think the kids in Harry Potter are a little more educated and grounded, I'm talking about Harry and Hermoine but the Weasley brothers are a bit suspect, or perhaps some of the extras who are nothings but let fame go to their heads. Anyway we don't get to hear about it until it's too late. River Phoenix springs to mind, but that's Hollywood and a different story.

Most of them but that's because their in Hollywood where free drugs and drinks a rampid. They have to have a good family life to stay away from it like that chick that played Punky Brewster she never went off the rails as far as i know. The Potter kids who knows the 1 that plays harry did a movie naked or all mostly anyway so u never can tell but theirs all ways hope just look at Drew Barrymore she was fucked up for a while but now she's got her life together.

no, emma watson is too posh and careful to let anything happen her money and reprotation and might continue on to be big in the future. Rupert grint might get himself messed up with drugs for a while but make a small come back in the future. dan will do nothing further to his career after all the harry potter films and just be known as ' the harry potter guy' for the rest of his life.

Jodie Foster is the best example of star who managed to avoid the dangers of childhood fame. Born in 1962 (like me!), she made her debut into acting at the age of two and worked her way through childhood and early adulthood to establish herself as one of Hollywood's elite.

Drew Barrymore is a fine example of a child star who got caught up in drugs and alcohol but managed to pull herself out of it and become a successful adult star.

I think a lot of it has to do with the support system surrounding a child actor. If the adults become overwhelmed by the fame, money, and glamour, the child is surely left to flounder...

But that cannot only be the case; personality plays a part as well. Look at the very differing fates of River and Joaquin Phoenix. One died of a drug overdose in his 20s and the other is now 32 and a highly-successful, award-winning actor.

As for the Harry Potter actors, they all seem to be doing well--I've seen several of them in interviews or programmes this past year. But, of the three core stars, Emma seems like the one to me who has the most potential to become overwhelmed and distracted by her fame. But time will tell. I am keeping my fingers crossed for them all--I love those movies and have watched those kids grow up before my eyes.

You look at the kids from Different Strokes and see the nightmare scenario of child stars.

Then you look at someone like Christian Bale. He's one of the few child stars to do really well for himself. You can add to that Christina Ricci.

I think Hermione will marry me, as she's a hottie, he he.

Drew Barrymore hasn't done too badly... well she's ok now!

I think the HP crew will turn out fine, they won't be done filming HP till they're in their twenties so they won't really be considered 'child stars', and they'll have made enough to not need to work anymore!
