okay I'm not the best at science but my sister one time made something and lined up batteries on one side and different size light bulbs on the other. she tested how many batteries it took to light up each light bulb by touching the battery to a wire and the other end of the wire to the bulb. it was pretty cool. this was more of an elementary school project but if your desperate covered a box inside and out with aluminum and had the lid open but angled down. i had two lamps and i put a pizza (thawed) inside and turned on the lamps..... it took a while but it heated it up and cooked it.

I don't know wether this can be considered as a science project or not. It is more like a magic performance that I read it on a books about seemly miracle labarotary experiment.
First you wet the whole handkerchief with ethanol (alchohol), I've forgot wether it has to be pure or not......then, burn the handkerchirf. after the burning, TADAA! the handkerchief still remain OK! Not even a black spot on it. The book explain that it was because when you ignite the fire, the fire isn't really burning the handkerchief but the ethanol. And when it was burning, the flame is blue in colour, which the tempereture is lower than the red one. (weird......my instict of general knowledge informs me that the red flame is the coolest and then the blue one is hotter then the white is the hottest) The ethanol max burning heat is lower than the handkerchief lowest ignite point. And because you use the ethanol, it has the speciality of taking the heat out to the air (that is why you feel when you have some alchohol or wine on your skin you feel cool, even cooler than you put water on your skin.) So that is why your handkerchief would not be burned. Well, good luck on your science project, though. Hope this help!

Well, this isn't something that runs like you're thinking, but I did this project in grade school and it got me to the state science fair. One reason probably being that it was real different. I tested whether or not an individual's handwriting reflects their personality. In a similar vein, while this might not be seen as "scientific" per se, I would have tried testing to see if people match their astrological sign traits. So there's two ideas, the first being more scientific I guess. Have fun! Go science!

In the eighth grade, I made a model of the human circulatory system that worked like the real thing. I just used cardboard with the human body drawn onto it, red and blue colored hoses for blood vessels, and a pump hidden behind the apparatus to simulate the heart. In my demonstration for the judges, I showed the mechanics of bleeding by using a pin to poke a hole in the hose in one of the hands of my drawing. (Don't make the hole too big!)

Just blow the rest of the class out of the water and make a remote control. I just found the schematic for one, and I plan on building it as soon as I find the parts. You can buy the parts online, but you'll have to search for them.

Oh yeah, just hook a motor up to it and wa-la!
