Its 18, and Im from there and you pretty much can drink at any age depending on your parents and they barly card, very relaxed place to live in. Atlantis is awsome but very expensive. Most rooms are like $500 a night. I dont know if they cater but you can stay at Breezes or sandals both of which are all inclusive meaning you pay one flat rate and all your food and drinks are included(within the hotel) both are very nice. You can stay at breezes and get passes to atlantis and still have fun and pay less by staying at breezes

The legal age is 18 for alcohol.
I have been to Atlantis quite a few times, I personally feel it is an overpriced tourist trap... unless you have the really big $$$$ to shell out for luxury rooms. Their standard rooms are no different or better than your average hotels.
I have sent many honeymooner's to Atlantis & all of them enjoyed it & were treated nicely but not "catered" to.
If you want a true honeymoon experience, consider staying at;
Sandals Bahamian ( adults only, all-inclusive, honeymoon suites that offer butler service! )
The One & Only Club - private, upscale & plenty of catering to your needs

Breezes is always a fun place to stay but there is nothing upscale about it... I still love it though :)

It is worth it to check out Atlantis, it is a cool place, but if you want a quite, romantic honeymoon I would hesitate recommending it to you.

Hope this helps a bit :)

The Bahamas is not a relaxed place to live. Nassau is 21 x 7 and has over 250,000 people on it. The cost of living is high and the crime rate is out of sight. Rents or property to buy are extremely high. If you have visited there you only saw the tourist side. Being a tourist and living there are two very different thing.

As far as the Atlantis goes... it's big and expensive. There are places in the Cable Beach area that are couples only and no children. Sandals and Breezes are more for honeymooners.

I don't know the legal age for drinking , but the prices they
charge must be illegal.
