I would like to know how to change protected files on itunes to unprotected files so that i can put the songs on my phone

If you downloaded your songs from iTunes, they will only work for the iPod. I, too, have a music phone but I found out that the songs from iTunes are protected using DRM. Now, there is software out there that will remove the DRM from the songs, however it is not legal to do so...
I just use my regular CDs and burn them onto my computer then download it to my phone...
