What makes a female athlete "hot" is different than for most women. I loooove the athleticism, and I like the muscularity more than the curves. Any woman who is into sports has got to be more interesting that one that just wants to sit around or thinks sticking her fingers down her throat will make herself thin.
Speaking of "sticking her fingers down her throat", I also love the trend in modelling, to employ athletes instead of anorexic heroin addicts like Tyra Banks. The athletes are a lot better looking _and_ (putting aside the "hotness" issue) athletes make better role models for young girls. Even a loser (in tennis) like Anna Kournikova is a better role model than Kate Moss.
