Only If Their Parents Don’t Explain What’s Real And What’s Not, Children Know The Difference Between Right And Wrong,

No, it doesn't. Japan has a very low crime rate and yet young children are exposed to violent images on TV and in the cinema. Young children's cartoons are also more violent in Japan. Things like lack of gun culture and perhaps the fostering of a more responsible society as a whole make all the difference.

Yes, it certainly gives them ideas about how to behave (or misbehave). One of the difficulties is that the media rarely shows the true consequences of the actions carried out. This is where it is important for the adults in the childs life to provide a moral framework that will put the right/wrong into a context.

Children learn by copying those around them so if they view a large amount of violence then they may try to act it out if the parents do not enforce moral guidelines telling them what is wrong.
Also, if a child sees a hero figure e.g. superman being violent then they may try to copy to be like them. As they grow and develop, unless they are told what they are doing is wrong, they may continue to do so

I believe small children are especially vulnerable as they have not yet developed a since of truth and fiction. I think many of todays tv shows glorify lifestyles which are immoral and illegal. It shows that if you can stay above the law you can do what you want and screw anyone who stands in your way. That is why we rarely watch tv in my house and rely more on books

Art imitating reality or vice versa. A raging argument from time but we won't get away from it any time soon. You can't say some things on television but you'll find numerous ways people harm each other on it. Keep children away from TV if possible and get them to do more stimulating, interactive passtimes which nurture them instead.
