I just wanna know. I do, and i'd like to feel kinda...un-isolated? Thing is, my friends don't get called it. Not as much as me anyway. And how do i deal with whoever calls me emo??

EMO.
I barely KNOW what emo is. It's a label, and you get called it because of your hair/clothes/music taste/feelings.

MY STYLE.
I'm not wearing what i wear to follow any trend. Seriously, i wear what i wear cos when it's in the shop, it catches my eye
My hair's short with a fringe cos i lost loads of my long hair APART from the fringe and the long hair was cut off when i was about 12
I wear eyeliner cos it makes my eyes stand out/look bigger
AND I NEVER LABEL MYSELF!

Of COURSE i get depressed. I'm mentally ill, i reckon.
And i'm GETTING therapy.
And YES, if you need to know, i've cut myself on my arms several times.
But don't worry, kay?
And i didnt cut myself cos of any TREND. I cut myself to take out my anger&get the sadness OUT

Sorry, Natt. I don't like even one of those bands. However, you should feel proud that you're individual enough to stand out for your choice in music.
You should proudly wear the Emo label and be glad that you don't like all the current Top 40 garbage as, I suspect, many of your friends do.
If someone calls you "Emo", just say: Yes, I am. Thanks for noticing.

I guess people want to come up with a name for people who look or dress differantly to them selves. I guess you have to ask yourself are you an emo? If they persist calling you an emo you could just act like you really dont care, prehaps actually saying you are an emo. People wont call someone who wants to be an emo an emo because it wont insult them.
I have nothing against emo's i would just never want to be one. Being depressed is not a nice feeling and most emo's arnt naturally emo's they just want to have a style and think its cool so really they are choosing to be depressed which is just stupid.

I've been called emo. A lot, actually. My favorite person to listen to is Sinatra. Hm.

your soo lucky! seeing my chemical romance in march!anyway if someone calls you emo ignore them. i'm not emo though, but in my school there are emo people and they are perfectly fine with other people calling them that.there's nothing wrong with being emo. it's a type of lifestyle.
