Get AdAware and SpyBot and AVG Anti-Spyware

All the free anti-spyware already mentioned on here is excellent. In fact you can download and run all of 'em as, unlike anti-virus, they don't bicker amongst themselves and in fact may all find something the others haven't.

Don't bother with the expensive paid-for progs, they're no better, just make sure that whatever you run is frequently updated and frequently used for peace of mind.

I use a few of them Spybot Search and Destroy, Adaware, Spyware blaster, a-squared. For anti virus I use avg free.

As all of these are free I use them all, some pick up things the others don't so it is worthwhile using more than one.

I would recommend "Spyware Sweeper", I have been using ad aware, spybot etc and loads of "free" ones, but I paid the $30 and got this plus a free copy of their "windows washer" and found both to be excellent.

do really now not lower than ANY circumstances EVER use Antivirus 2008 or Win Antivirus 2008, they're fake antivirus downloads and extremely furnish your computer what they declare to break: like viruses and spyware, plus they say you've a good number of of viruses that look risky, yet you actually don't have them.

Spyware Terminator is pretty good, and once you have cleaned the little sods out try the (free) SpywareBlaster to help keep the little darling from sneaking back on to your computer.

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.

download firefox for free, Just have a try:

The free Spybot Search & Destroy works wonders for me...I have no problems. I back it up with the free Spyware Blaster..install both and you will be rid of spyware. You will find both by just typing the names into your search bar ...
