Hey Dude,
You have to think of your computer like your wife or gf.
Say things to it like, "that color makes you look fat", or "is that new perfume or do you need a shower?"
That will usually cause your computer to blue screen once or twice a day.
If that doesn't work, hold the power button in for 15 seconds. :)

If you're using windows, click start, then shut down, and shut the thing down. Newer versions will automatically turn it off, older versions will say "It is now safe to turn off your computer." and you can just push the little button. If that doesn't work, just hold down the button for a few seconds. Sometimes it takes longer. If it doesn't shut off after holding it down for 30 seconds, then you'll probably have to unplug it to get it to turn off, but that can be a very bad thing for the computer, so only do it as a last resort.

if you want it off use your switch on the tower. Never unplug from wall and plug back in you can mess something up bad.
