I'm assuming you mean rabid.
Get the hell away from it and call the police/animal control.

Rapid as in fast or rabid as in crazed?

If rabid, I would try and defend myself, but move away from the animal, as they actions are unpredictable

it all depends if you`re more rapid then the animal.they`re some fast animals out there.
