we got lots of fruit flies in our house and we have no idea why

Do you have empty beer or pop bottles sitting around waiting to be returned? They make great places for fruit flies to breed, especially after they get drunk.

Go to the hardware store and pick up something meant for flies, or get a bunch of venus fly traps.

Pour apple cider vinegar into little "dixie" cups...cover with plastic wrap, secure with a small rubber band, make a little hole in the plastic wrap, set them on your counters or where ever you see the most flies...they LOVE apple cider vinegar...will crawl thru the hole..get stuck in there and hopefully will drown...voila..no more fruit flies...good luck!!

I don't know either. I'm just glad that I have 3 days off so that I can spend all my time on Yahoo! Answers. And I promise you, I'm gonna sit here until it's time to go back to work. I love my computer and YA!!!

You can get rid of flies by using pest control.

take bucket of water with detergent soap and piece of cloth,wipe all the tables and floors with it and dont rinse,let it dry.
do it for a couple of days.
