The only relevant cut off date is your own school district.

Back in the stone age (1950's) the town I lived in had a cut off date if January 1. I was born on the 10th. That made me one of the oldest in my class.

In the long run, I think that helped me. So, don't worry about your son's entry into school.

If you want to, you can do kindergarten as a home schooler.
