Have just bought a great one from Avon, has 3 different shades and the name of product is Glimmersticks Brow Definer. It is in a casing and does swivel up and extend as needed. Its about £4.50 and lasts for quite some time.

If you are trying to fill in thin eyebrows, the best thing to use is a powder eye shadow that is slightly lighter than your brow/hair color. For example, if your brows are dark brown, use a slighter lighter brown eye shadow. Make sure the colors are very similar - if your hair is chestnut brown, find a brown eye shadow with a little red in it. If your hair is blonde, use a soft beige color. But never use a darker/black shadow because it will be too fake looking. Use a thin, stiff brow brush to apply the shadow in light strokes between your own brows. I always used this method for photo shoots on models with thin brows. If you do it correctly, you won't be able to tell you have anything on. Your brows will just look even.

It isn't as convenient as a lipstick but what about Make Up Forever's brow set which is a tube of waterproof colour cream and comes with two precision brushes, so you can be very accurate and would overcome the chalkiness.

Try the smashbox eybrow powder with a cream to set it, it is fantastic as I also don't like pencils for the same reasons as yourself, although you put this on with a brush. You could also try Models Prefer eyebrow pencil, its more of a creamy texture and swivals up like a lip pencil (I wouldactually say this would be the exact way to discribe the feel of the pencil on your brow) You can buy smashbox and Models Prefer from qvc

pencils do not look as natural for brows as brow powders do. i would try the Bare Escentuals brow kit in dark blonde/medium brown, works for almost everyone.

Do you have Avon over there! They have a ripper. Goes on like a kohl stick. Revlon makes a great one too.

i think theyre widely available, have a look in your local department store, all the houses have an alternative.
personally i use smashbox eyebrow powder and sealer, its brilliant! comes as half what looks like eye shadow, half wax that seals them afterwards. comes with a little applicator brush too, so you cant mess it up. poifect!
