the pill is so small you'll barely feel it! Im the same as you, i have to cut paracetomal up into 4 pieces!
I'm on yasmine and its fab, i was on ovranette previously but i had really bad mood swings/low libido (all the side effects of most contraceptive pills), but find yasmine is great, keeps my skin clear and my hormones balanced!
Speak to your doc about your needs!

Good decision on taking the pill.
The one the doctor prescribes you is the best one to take. (you need a prescription to take them anyway - well here in Australia you do)
I don't think there are chewable tablets, but the pill is so tiny it is extreemely easy to swallow, you can have it with a spoonfull of something (like yoghurt) or a glass of drink.

If you can possibly avoid it don't take any of them (you can use a cap with spermicide+a condom+avoid sex from roughly day 10 to day 17 after your period begins - not foolproof, but pretty good protection) - there's enough breast cancer out there that we should all be very wary of adding another risk factor to the mix. I'm so angry at all the waste of young women's lives because we're not supposed to question medical orthodoxy or refuse to be available for sex 24/7. The cost is too high.

You cannot chew birth control pills. Why not get on the depo shot? I was on it for 3 years and never had a problem with it. I didn't gain weight or anything else.

If you do go with the pills don't let them give you a very strong pill.

The pills are really small...smaller than a tic tac so they are really easy to swallow. If you have not been on the pill before ask your doctor about Yasmin. There is a lower risk of side effects and is a low dose. I have not had any problems with it.

you can either go to your doctor or to your nearest family planning clinic where they will access you, if they give you a pill that doesn't agree with you, you just go back and they will change it and try another until they get the best one for you...the pills are tiny so you'll have no bother swallowing them, and you will have to go back every yr to be weighed and to have your blood pressure taken, and to make sure you are having no probs

I really liked Orthyo Cyclen. I was on it for about 9 years, and I did go off and try others, but I feel this is the best and my skin was not bad when I used it.

you could go with the patch. It's a once a week thing. My girlfriend used it, no problems. Then she switched over to the ring, which you insert "up there". She said she didn't even feel it.
