Well,I'm so tired about searching good antiviruses.i think bit defender professional plus 9 is better than the others.please tell me which one is better.thx

If you are asking about an antivirus (not a security suite) you must try NOD32 (after trying many many antivirus (kaspersky, bitdefender ...) I choosed this one) it don't take many ressources (cpu, ram), and it really detect viruses instantly ....

But if you are talking about a security suite just wait a little bit, zonealarm 7 is still in beta now but will be soon out, and it'll be really unbeatable ( use zonelarm firewall and kaspersky engine as antivirus).

If you want a free program go with AVG. Once you configure it after installation, you never have to worry again. Avast as well. They are the best, least invasive 2 that I have found. Just make sure not to have 2 antivirus products on your computer at the same time.

There's really no good way to analyze the quality unless you want to test tons of viruses with a bunch of different software. Most of the major ones you hear of are pretty good. Just pick one, install it, and you shouldn't ever have much to worry about unless you download porn, click on stupid banners, and send greeting cards.

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.
i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.
besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.

yes bitdefender is very good. its second to none.. u can trust me i work in this field only.. bitdefender 9 or 10 both very good.. but f-secure is standalone security... and kaspersky is full of sh** y u know it detects ur keyboard and mouse as suspected malwre everytime u reboot..hahhaha

i love my spyware doctor cost=$30 a year and then i use this free tool with it http://spywareterminator.com good luck. I have used avg free and it doesnt do that great a job.
