So if I have mould on my wall and it doesn't come off easily when I scrub, and I apply something to kill it, such as tea tree oil, vinegar, bleach, dettol or whatver, when it is 'dead' what happens? Does it dissapear, or will it simply be easy go scrub away. How long does it take to die?

Some forms of mold are more difficult to kill than others. Depending upon what kind of mold you have and how long it was permitted to grow unchecked (i.e. the longer unchecked, the deeper it may have permeated into the surface), the time it takes to kill is anywhere from immediately (with bleach) to "get professional help." If it doesn't wash away easily, then deeper scrubbing may do the trick. If necessary, let dry, sand, seal, prime and repaint. Always wear a protective mask and goggles. If it is a particularly bad type of mold, you may have to have the wall replaced.

Use Polycell Mould Remover - About £2.50 from a hardware store. Spray on and wipe away. Allow to dry and repeat the process.

Move your bed away from the wall.....you are breathing out moisture all the time you are asleep and the warmth from your bodies puts moisture into the air. You are basically condensating your wall.

If the mould is removed and is killed completely you will still need to allow the air to circulate...mould loves it when there is no air circulation and it is damp! Allow air to move around and it will die off.

I would call a professional, because mold especially black mold can be a real health hazard. Esp, if you have children
