First name: Christopher, which means: Christ bearer
Middle name: Pearson, which means: son of Peter

We like names that have a positive meaning to them and didn't want a name that he would hate as he's growing up. We also call him by his full first name of Christopher and not Chris. When he gets older he can make the decision of being called Christopher or Chris.

My son is Tyler Austin. My husband is into baseball and we thought Tyler would be a great baseball name. Of course my son hates sports! go figure! Austin just because I like it.

My daughter is Carly Jean and I heard the name Carly on a "Sunday Night Movie" and liked how it sounded. At the time there weren't many Carlys around , now I hear Carly everywhere! Jean because it's my mother's name and my middle name as well so we are passing it down.

I have four children : Vanessa = Butterfly, Benjamin = Son of my right hand, Thomas = The doubter (chosen after my grandfather, not for the meaning) and Abigail = Our Father's delight.

Like you, I considered shortened versions of the name and so have 'Ness, Ben, Tom and Abi.

My daughter's name is Natalee Jean, Natalee cause I really liked it and the "lee" is from her grandmother on her dad's side, her middle name is Lee. Jean I chose because it is my grandma's middle name, my mom's middle name, my middle name and I also have an aunt Jean, so just keeping a tradition going!
My son's name is Cole Brian, Cole is a name the my fiance and I really liked and Brian is after my dad, who's first name was Brian, he died 12 years ago, when I was 15. It was pretty much a no brainer for his middle name.

My son is named Matthew which means 'gift of god'. As my hubby and I thought we were unable to have children, Matthew was a real surprise. The name seems appropriate as he is truly a gift from God.

He can also shorten it to Matt if he wants to when he's older.

I have named a lot of children including nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. I'd take the names of both parents and come up with something or the initials of either parent. I got my first child's name from an odd name I heard once. My second child's name derived from her godmother and her paternal grandmother who died while I was pregnant.

This is actually copied from another question I answered:
These are my two female twins' full names;
LAST NAME IS PRONOUNCED; Gam-Bone-Ya
Grace Emily Gambogna - Her nickname is GiGi. This is because when you take the first letter of her first name, and the first letter of her last name, you get the initials G.G..
Hollie Bridgette Gambogna - Her nickname is Holliewood. This is because she has a toy microphone and it's her favourite toy. She acts like she's famous!
Each middle and first name is in someway tied back to my fiance's family or my family.
Grace was my great grandmother's name and Hollie was my fiance's sister's name. She died in a car crash.
Emily was my great, great grandmother's name, and Bridgette is not too different from my fiance's mother's name; Bridget.

I have four children, and they're all named for at least two people in my family. My second is the only one named AFTER someone, but that someone is deceased. My third is actually named for four people! Okay, here goes!

#1. Austin Wade; Wade is my (maternal) grandfathers first name, and my uncles middle name

#2. Nick William; Nick William was my (paternal) grandfathers name, and William is also my husbands middle name

#3. Ryan Joel; named for my husbands grandfather (RJ) my husbands father (Randy Jay) my brother in law (Robbie Joe) and my Uncle Joel

#4. Keagan Joley; she's named for my mother, Joey and my husbands grandmother, who's middle name is Lee

I named my son Julian because i loved the name and i knew no one else around here had it. I did not want to name him such a common name. I got it off of the soap opera "Passions".

I do not regret naming him that and i do think it is a very good name even though some might not agree but it is what i think and my son thinks and he likes his name.
