Because Boys don't want to take resposibilities of the family and girls want to remain free from men's rule over them.

Formal marriage is a contract negotiated between two people. Signing this contract means that there are legally binding committments that the two individuals are required to keep. The words of the agreement are quite well understood by the individuals, other people, and the courts.

The agreements surrounding living together are less defined. The negotiations are on-going and it is hard to enforce the commitments agreed to, since there is no written contract, less legislation protecting the parties, and the wording of negotiated agreements are subject to different interpretations.

I'm not sure why anyone would want to enter a "live together" agreement without a contract.
There are many consequences that can arise from living together.

Persons who end up living together can be more susceptible to abuse for these reasons.

Cheaper is a cop-out. All that's required is a ring, a preacher or JP, some witnesses, and maybe an optional dinner for ten.

Because somewhere along the line, more and more people decided to not bother marrying and simply lived together and soon enough it becomes accepted as ok and normal. However, no matter how many people are living in this lifestyle, it will never change the fact of it being the same sin as it always was "Fornication" and an offense to God. They'll use all means to justify it.

Most cannot be bothered to take the right and proper steps towards committment and are too focussed on finance and self to focus enough on marrying. They like the easy way around it and give themselves every excuse to do so.

They'll point to all the failed marriages, as an excuse not to marry. Yet most marriages fail becuse of the very thing that people cannot do and that is selfless committment. Loving the other person and working through bad times.

now, either one partner is left attempting to hold their side of the marriage up, while the other lets them down badly, or both decide the grass is greener on the other side and decide to "opt out".

It's too easy now to have no committment, people have no obligation to make much effort and are too focussed on themselves, money and pleasure, more than the person they married.

It's easy to live togehter and not marry, but it won't be easy to explain to God at the end why they broke his law because they decided they knew better and it was more logical.

Versus getting married? Well, I for one can say my relationship was a LOT better before we got married. We lived together for almost a year. I'd much prefer living together to the spot I am now, I'll say that much.

In our secular society marriage
has lost it's sheen and I think
it's in direct proportion to the
loss of religious lip service,,,,
people have yet to replace one crutch with another,,,,
so first there were more civil marriages
now more live together
besides legally arguably it's less aggravation

because you love the person you are with. it is cheaper. i have never been married so i do not know if it changes things. what if you are engaged to someone for 2 yrs, not living together, then u get married and cannot stand each other? pros and cons. but i hear marriage is not what it use to be.

As compared to what?

Living apart - cheaper
Getting married - no benefit to getting married these days, saves cost of wedding

Because "getting permission" from the government and the church doesn't make the relationship any better. It just makes the breakup more expensive. Also, weddings are outrageously expensive.
