You should ask your nanny if she wants those days off. I think if she works for you 7 days a week then she should definately have all holidays off. And every one deserves to have a 2 week vacation.

Major holidays are a given in that type of work, yes to the 2 weeks vacation and any US holiday when you are not working such as memorial day etc...also make sure you are clear as to whether she/he will be paid during these off times most babysitters/nannys I have met get all there vacation days/holidays paid unless otherwise stated within the contract

You get what you pay for. in case you're apprehensive approximately no longer looking yet another nanny for her cost than that's advisable to play on the secure side and do acceptable by utilising her. particularly given which you like her and clearly have faith her with your little ones. that's advisable to paintings out a settlement together with her so as that the two events understand what to anticipate and since the years pass and there heavily isn't such diverse unknowns. solid success.

Yes, and paid of course. That's the first year she works for you. If you value her, (and continuity is important for your kids), then in the second year, give her 3 weeks; in the 3rd year give her 4 weeks, and then keep on giving her 4 weeks every year. (This is asusming you keep her a long time).
Your kids will benefit enormously (not from her absence, but from a devoted nanny). Also, during those off times, it will be great for the kids to have their parents spend extra time with them.

i think all major holidays and 2 weeks vacation is ok you don't have to do every us holiday unless it doesn't bother you and her at the time.
