Shane Warne. Hands down.
I've never been interested in cricket as a player. It's a bit slow and uneventful like golf. However whenever Shane Warne plays it's so exciting. Not only is he a great bowler, but he's a wonderful entertainer. The only reason why I've watched cricket in my youthful life so far (I'm 23) is because of him. Whenever we played backyard cricket, all my friends would love to bat ... but I would always be the bowler ... the leg spin bowler trying to get the flipper or the wrong'un going.
I would have loved to watch Donald Bradman, however not my era.
Cheers.

Shane Warne, eh? I like golf because of T Woods and Racing because of M Schumacher.

My favorite is Jonty Rhodes. He was the nicest guy you will ever meet and he was a character always bubbling on the field. He was a middleorder batsman for SA and took his singles very quickly.( to the dismay of the other batsman who had to keep up) He made someof the worlds most memorable catches and who will forget when he dived the wickets flat with the ball to run out Inzi back in the early 90s.

He isnt remembered for being an outstanding batsman or bowler but for his fielding and his attitude

Irrespective of his current poor form, Sachin Tendulkar is my favourite cricketer as he is compared next to Bradman in world cricket. When he is in good form his batting is a pleasure to watch.

It would have to be Shahid Afridi purely because he is a delight to watch.
He may not be the most consistent but if he gets in the groove no attack can survive the onslaught. he holds records for centuries, sixes, etc. he is also a very good bowler. he is the only spinner you can see bowling at 125kmph. his fielding also is truly outstanding and he can bat at any position.

VIV RICHARDS he was such a delight to watch and a destructive batsmen. He was crazy facing Dennis Lillee with a hat on and wacking him over the square boundry.
