I earn a modest sum of money through working (not of the dole) and I reserve the right to spend or save it as I wish.
My bet is that rather than an idealist you're probably just a workshy jealous nobody with no money with a big chip on your shoulder. Whassup. Did mummy and daddy not buy you that train-set you wanted for Christmas when you were 10? I bet you don't have many friends do you? Not real ones. I suppose the people you hang about with are just as dissafected as you are, clinging together for the comfort of cold companionship without actually caring about each other. And all you do is lash out at the world because you are so so bloody small and f*cked up in the head.
If you really are an idealist and not a crazy nutter as I think you are, then why don't you make a real difference to the world. Get a job, make some real friends, get a family and do some good in the world by being kind, sharing, and all that other stuff. Actualy have a care for other people instead of having a pop at them. It's what the rest of the civillised world do. If you can make the world a better place for just a few people around you, then you'd have done enough to change the world.
Trouble is, it's harder to crawl out of your cess pit than it is to stay stuck inside it.

I'm not blind, doped or an idiot, and I don't personally know anyone here who is. However we do pay very high taxes, and we are ripped off by retailers, but what do you suggest we do about it-emigrate. They tell us its for a reason of high costs to government, roads, NHS, unemployment, immigration, etc. I don't like kids in sweat shops in the East to be exploited either, but with out that employment they would otherwise starve in many cases. China I believe is set to be the next "super power" because of democratic free trading. I think.

Capitalism is indestructible. If you made a company without outsourcing labor it wouldn't possibly be able to compete with the others. The only way to possibly stop it would be to pass some law to stop all outsourcing of companies.
Good luck on that one. All the power smoking boozed pimps will never let it happen. We can try to avoid purchasing the really bad outsourcers. Perhaps if we gave more money and health care plans to outsourcers it wouldn't be so bad. If we allowed 3rd world countries to have there own businesses maybe their economy wouldn't depend on our outsourcing jobs either.

Would it be better if they didn't get the work at all?
They get the work because they compete at a far cheaper rate than everybody else.
Now they have work that previously did not exist.
Surely that's a start?

you're right, it's a s*** world, I can add a tousand other things to add to that. eg How did Gordon Brown got the title of the next PM? he looks a taxi-driver. It's going 2 b so emabarrassing when he goes abroad, representing UK. I'm sure he's going to some nice bluffs,
next how hard people work for their money & it all goes into high rate mortgages that they can only enjoy when realy old!

If this place England is so bad why does every immigrant want to come and live here, coz maybe we do pay high taxes, get ripped off but hey we got a huge heart so get exploited, they get homes handouts help with kids families. relationships, loans, housing jobs, Oh and i forgot the welcome pack.
