contact your IP and have them help you set up your e-mail account. They have the correct protocol for you to use to send and receive mail

In Outlook Express click on Tools then Accounts and then on the the Mail tab .Your ISP should be shown in the box that appears click on Properties and you should then make sure that there is a tick in the box beside 'Include this account when receiving mail'. All the best

Your incoming mail server must have the wrong setting , I use Outlook and my setting is POP3.talktalk.net....adapt this to your own internet provider and it should work OK

pop settings are correct if you are able to send but smtp must not be if it won't receive....you can check here http://www.cordhosting.com/smtp_settings.php it list some of the more popular smtp settings, depending on your isp these settings might have to be configured differently as a few will only allow pop access and others require a higher security setting.
