In a way I think it makes some of us regular people feel just a little better. We can say, yes they have money and a exciting life , but money can't buy happiness. Anyway I want to grow old without everyone watching me and saying how bad I look or how fat I have gotten. Poor Kirstie Alley.

Because we pay to see their movies, watch their concerts and listen to their music, watch their TV shows, buy their books to read - we pay them well to entertain us and even some of their scandals are interesting - nobody wants to be bored.

Because,.. it makes them feel on the same level as the rich and famous people,...

Think about it,.. they read in the news about all the crap going on in their lives,. not only do they have something to gossip about,. but they also feel better knowing even the rich and powerful have problems just like the average joe...

they are interest in high prefile cases they want to see them through. why I don't know. It makes us feel better when we listen to peoples dirty life I guess
