As I recall he turned himself in, but the Americans didn't actually want him! He was such a joke that he was released again just as quick without charge as he wasn't on the axis of evil card deck. I do hope the violence in Iraq hasn't caught up with the guy. He was cool. I still have the DVD! And yes, "ohwiseone" is right - his son is a doctor who lived (or maybe still does) in Dublin.
Wikipedia says he is living in the United Arab Emirates with his family, but that statement is unsourced, and of doubtful reliability.

He works for Al-Jazeera now I think.
He was never "caught" because he denounced Saddam at the point of invasion. Anyway he had diplomatic immunity.

This guy name is Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf and he was a diplomat, a very well educated person, he really believed what he said, he is living with his family in Saudi Arabia, yes he has a son who is a doctor in Dublin but he is not living with his son, that guy was really a joke..âº

He's living in Dublin, his son is over here working as a Doctor for years....I haven't made that up, i've met his son..
