If it has to be about anything then surely it is just a test of your creative writing skills, so just rant on about something that annoys you or something you feel deeply about. Write your paper as though you were explaining your subject in an eloquent and educated manner to a person who knows nothing of the subject prior to reading your paper. You will find that your biggest problem will be what not to write about and how to make it all shorter to fit it into the small 1000 word criteria you have.

do u hav a funny incident which happened at ur home earlier...did u hav a heart break...or did u do something embarassing...or did u put someone into trouble....
u can start off by tellin the days i would never like to recall were during the time........
anymore help ask me....ill surely be ur assistance....cant think of any incident...ill tell u my a lakh word long lost love story....

y dont u try writing abt the life of some famous personality like gandhiji, j f kennedy or princes diana.. any1 u fancy.
or u can write about health n fitness n how obesity is gripping metros.
u can also write about the roles courts have played in 2006 cases like priyadarshini n jessica lal.

about... your pet. or about something that you like to do.
