What Americans have you talked to?
Are you quoting a poll?
Most Americans are against the war in Iraq in the latest poll I saw.
I am an American and will tell Saddam would not have been executed without Bush allowing his handover to the Iraqi government.
And by the way.... Name calling is stupid.

Sorry but it was not the Americans or the British who made the judgement.... as it is not the Americans or the British that decide on the death penalty or other punishments in other countries...Yes he was held by the Americans but the justice was meted out by HIS peers... If he had been tried in this Country he would have been given a Life sentence, ALL of the questions geared towards the abomination of the trial, the sentence, Saddam....all seem to have forgotton the atrocities this mans regime committed on his own people...Thousands have died and have been tortured in his name... What do people imagine was burning to create those huge black clouds that obscured large areas of iraq during the US assault to capture Saddam.. is it any wonder there were no WMD's found...
The problem is now to settle the warring factions and stop the insurgents that keep slaughtering the innocents...IN the name of Saddam????

Why does it matter, he's dead. He deserved to die. And from what I can see on CNN the people in the Middle East could care less who had what to do with it. His countless victims have justice now. And that is the important thing.

ohwiseone believes that if he keeps asking the same thing over and over and over again, he will eventually find a world where no one will know he is ignorant, insulting, and boorishly repetitive. Is it possible his level of intellect is incapable of coming up with one good question and posting it, so they spew the same half-baked question with a serving of cluelessness, on the side until eventually no one has the energy to even answer?

It was the American government who dictated to Iraq that Saddam should die. The general Americans might shun the idea, but we know better eh?
