Quite sad that the queen had been in the worst dressed list repeatedly.

Unfortunately when one is in the public eye at all times, you cannot win. Dressed in too flashy a style and they are accused of being mutton dressed as lamb. Dress conservatively and people will say that they are in a time warp. No win situation. When Margaret Thatcher first became Prime Minister, she sent a note to the Palace asking to be kept informed of what the Queen would be wearing to various functions that the PM would be at also . A terse note was returned saying that Her Majesty did not notice what other people were wearing.

I'd rather see male members of the Royal Family in a suit and tie than t-shirt and jeans, thank you. And I think many of the female members of the Royal Family dress very elegantly.

The Queen has specially made outfits which include a hat and are often in bright colours; this helps people to see her when they are standing behind 7 other people along the side of the road at royal "walkabouts". Her Majesty dresses very distinctively. I like her outfits.

It is a time warp, but, all dress as the Queen does-----------she is in the time warp. She is the one who states what their fashion will be.

Doesn't the Queen make most of the decisions about dress code?

There's no real reason why they can't dress just exactly how they like. Everybody else does.
