be assured its not the last time it will happen and get used to just starting over again at the beginning - one foot in front of the other - step by step -its an opportunity to not make the same mistakes and redirect the outcome. Edison said (I know I've used this before), "I never failed, I just did it wrong 10,000 times."

It depends on what you call rock bottom. Are you homeless? If that's the case then you would start by going to a homeless shelter.
I've been pretty much at the bottom earlier on in my life. I learned that you have to work if you want to have anything. You have to take care of yourself in order to be physically fit enough to work. I've learned that hand outs only go so far. I don't like hand-outs one bit. Even more recently I've found myself unemployed once again but at least I have unemployment this time. I'm not at the bottom but I am a long way from even the middle. Working hard is the way to keep your head above water. Taking care of you and your own is number one. Earning trust is a long process also. If you have failed to live up to what you say you're going to do many many times then people might not believe anything you tell them right now. Prove what you say. Set a goal and stick with it. Start with small ones.
Good Luck

Look at the bigger picture. Think of worse things that havent happened to you. (being born with aids and recruited into a child army in africa comes to mind) Hopefully this will help you to feel lucky. Try to do something for someone else, holding open a door or just smiling can lift others up and that will rub off on you, making you happier. Celebrate the things that you do, and can do, well. Like thinking, some people can't think. Set small goals and celebrate them, like brushing your teeth, seen above. Try to go outside and look at nature, find something beautiful and appriciate it.

First ask and or seek help ,take each day one by one ,set small goals ,(like first day could be Ill brush my teeth ) Im not being funny sometimes things are that bad , that you dont even want to get up or wake up ,everyone has something to contribute to life ,as time goes on and you ll start to feel better, you will heal ,fix what you can ,be accountable , but dont dwell on past mistakes ,somethings we cant change ,but we can accept them ,with a positive attidute ,we can come back or come to
Best wishes

Take responsibility for your past and your future - don't blame other people or expect them to rescue you. You are in charge of your life. Take charge and seek a good therapist and doctor and start a road towards being happy. No matter why you're at rock-bottom therepy and good medical care can help you get back up, whether it's emotional issues or drugs, and so on.

It is okay to feel crushed and mushy for some time(not long). I wont be hard on myself, i sure will feed on all the positive energy around me like listening to inspirational music, talking to friends who really care and try to forget about reason i am down. Remember its not how hard you fell but how fast you got up

Just get up off my butt and stop feeling sorry for myself, swallow my pride, and reach out a hand if I need assistance... usually, though I'm too stubborn to do that last part!

I'm not sure, because I'm still at the bottom right now...
I guess it would be to talk to my best friend; I need his love to hold me up, like that song says...Landing in London:

That song....makes me think of him and gets me through at times...

Think of something worse, like losing people you care for or losing a body part.. then it seems things aren't so bad.
