Yes, I finally put in the Willie Nelson CD, but as I was changing it I noticed a double eagle on a crest.

Although I love the history of the renaissance, and so on and so forth the truth is it was very brutal,
and unless you were very rich and did not have many enemies. VERY short.
In Europe sanitation was frightening, health care was no better than a 5 year old could provide.
if you were a Catholic your were ruled by the church. and or whom ever owned you or the land you lived on.
if you were Muslim outside of Spain you were lower than a dog on social standing,
if you were Jewish you had the chance at money if you could make it but stood a good chance of being locked in a ghetto. and low standing in public. If you were Polish you actually were doing not to bad except the constant wars with the neighbors.
the Brits and French were always at some sort of war.

Whereas if you were a cowboy in the west life could be considerably longer.
if you were a black cowboy, or African American, usually freed/ escaped slaves. you had a chance to earn a living. not much but it was yours.
if you wanted open spaces that was available, if you wanted city life that was available too.
A horse was main mode of transportation but the railroads were bringing new things every week from the coast to the plains.
in the renaissance a letter could take several months to make a journey. in the old west it took less than a month. and with the pony express less than 2 weeks and when the telegraph came along, it could be only a few hours for a message to make its way from 1 state to another medicine was better firearms were vastly improved over the early guns of the renaissance. food was far more plentiful.

I truly love the middle ages and on through the renaissance but the real world at that time was very brutal and harsh so i'd have to say cowboy

I'd rather live in the renaissance age so I could wear the awesome dresses they had back then. I hope I wouldn't have to be a knight, I'll just take it easy back at my castle please.
