I work as an advocte for many vets in obtaining their benefits for disasabilites, I have seen the VA investigations for claims go on for years with letters sent every 6 months or so stating that they are still investigating a claim, do we not owe those who put their lives on the line, the benefit of the doubt and a speedier process in which to make a decision?

Yes, bureaucracy of any kind is totally maddening. If I were in charge of the agency, I'd institute a policy that claims are to be investigated and resolved within 4 months. If the agency fails to do so, the claim is automatically approved.

BTW, the more of your questions I read, the more I respect you and what you do. I suspect we're probably on the opposite end of the political spectrum on most issues, but you seem to be a very honorable guy. Keep up your good work.

It just might be that our Government used our enlisted personal as their guinea pigs. Don't get me wrong, I AM THANKFUL FOR EVERYONE OF OUR FIGHTING PERSONAL, but my husband told me things that was hard to believe and the Government won't take responsibility because they were considered Government Property. (Heard of Dead Beat Dads. Hmmm)

Like social security disability, there is so much fraud, that people who really deserve it, get delayed, and delayed.
It's a shame.
People who deserve it, get punished because of all the ones who don't.
