It's not just America my friend! Here in england we have our foriegn secretary stating basically, Saddam got what was coming to him!
This coming from a government thats police force has just arrested 4 members of a regime responsible for the massacre of 800.000 Tootsies in africa! And likes to emphasise the fact that they do not support the death penalty!
Double standards! Lies!
You tell me, do you think the 4 guys that got arrested for the deaths of 800.000 tootsies will be hung! OH I think not!
Did the Killer of the 2 young girls in Soham Uk get hung? No!
Will the killer of 5 women Ipswich get hung? No
Will the Yorkshire ripper be Hung? No!
The way our governments have expressed there satifaction of saddams death, can only quantify the hatred towards our double standard way of western Life!
There have already had 3 car bombs go off in Iraq!
One more death because of the West continued pursuance of Democracy in Iraq, is too much! After saddam has hung which was only 10 hours ago, around 35 iraqies have died in bomb attacks! And dozens injured!
I cannot help but think, something really bad is going to happen in the coming days!
The World now awaits reaction! I only hope that the Muslim world will be tollerant! And remember Saddam liked to profess he was a Muslim! When actually he was an Atheist! Please Muslim world remember this! As he carried the Quoran only as a toy in his sinister world! he did not share your beliefs in Allah, he used the Quoran as a tool of destruction against you!
Please people in the Muslim World understrand, we do not all condone the actions of Bush and Blair!
I hope we can all now learn to get on, and show our own defiance for this brutalty, by joining our hands in Peace!
Modifying...
let me just add! saddam was not given a true trial by Iraqie People or Iraqie Justice system! This justice was closely monitored and sanctioned, with western influence!
Come on people, you are not that stupid! Do you really think if this was left to iraqie justice, that saddam would have hung today! If at all! I think not! This was done very swiftly! When you think of all the dozens on death row (U.S.) Some of which have been there 15 years! And it was done with Western backing and help! With western lawyers! Sorry my opinion is, that the Iraqie justice machine, is just an extension of the US and UK justice system! With bubble wrap packaging!
We live in a Mad World! And some answers here are documented proof of that!
Peace!
Oh and for those who give me the thumbs down! I hope you can hold your head high, when the next terrorist bomb destroys your whole world!
I am of the opinion too, that you will change your mind, should terrorism come to your home town to destroy your whole life!
And it is your stupidity in sponsoring such ignorance and intollerance, that causes the flames to burn ever more vigorously! I mean you obviously didn't read my answer before giving me a thumbs down! We are authorising our own destruction, with decadent thumbs up of our rulers ambitions!
Understand ye not!!! I pity you all!
I pity the day people! I pity the day!
Peace!

Sorry but it was not the Americans who made the judgement.... as it is not the Americans or the British that decide on the death penalty or other punishments in other countries...Yes he was held by the Americans but the justice was meted out by HIS peers... If he had been tried in this Country he would have been given a Life sentence, ALL of the questions geared towards the abomination of the trial, the sentence, Saddam....all seem to have forgotton the atrocities this mans regime committed on his own people...Thousands have died and have been tortured in his name... What do people imagine was burning to create those huge black clouds that obscured large areas of iraq during the US assault to capture Saddam.. is it any wonder there were no WMD's found...
The problem is now to settle the warring factions and stop the insurgents that keep slaughtering the innocents...IN the name of Saddam????

You are absolutely right, it was a brutal end to a brutal dictator. So killing someone who ordered the death of an entire race of people is a sick and perverted? Hmmmm.. I must have missed that in school. Good to know though. I'm going to go update my yahoo profile right now. Hobbies... sick, perverted. Cold-blooded murder. Hmmm.. the kind that comes with a prolonged trial by someone's peers, a sentencing and execution under constitutional law. You don't actually own a dictionary do you? Here's a hint, sick starts w/ s, perverted starts w/ p, and murder starts w/ m. You go ahead and study those definitions again just for fun okay?

I consider it somewhat of a justice. Justice would have been, everything he had done to the Kurd's...etc. done to him. He was a "brutal" dictator, and a threat to the world. And shame on a America? Why don't you go ask the soldiers in Iraq, all the victims of his crimes and their families what they think. They are the ones that are dealing with this, and will have to deal with whatever outcome his execution has.

Well you know the old saying, opinions are like %#@holes everyone has one. Another one is live by the sword and die by the sword, which would have been a better execution choice. Its not shame on us, its shame on you for the stupid question in my opinion.Have a good day and don't worry your little brain so much.
