I mean really. Do you know what the rest of the world thinks of you people? You lose all credibility from having an idiot like Bush jnr as your leader. Such a mighty, great country, such a loser as president. Hope you wake up for your next elections. You could be such a shining beacon to the rest of the world. Right now you're just a joke.

Let me just clarify that I am by no means proud of the government in my own country, but I do vote for the opposition. Problem is that the majority in my country are uneducated and ignorant and are taken in by the leading party's drivel and unaware of the corruption. The USA has no excuse though - high levels of education and awareness, etc. What is up?!

I don't know what part of the "perfect world" you reside or where you gather your information to make such a idiot based opinion.

Like any free world democracy a leader is chosen by the people in hopes the elected official will reflect the desires of the people and lead the country accordingly.

The "rest of the world" you mentioned does not accurately reflect the correct view world leaders view. United States did not rise to suppress oppression for the fun of doing it, rather the people being oppressed asked for help and like a giving caring nation would do, the United states is a world leader in giving.

the president isn't the problem. the problem is the incredible complexity of our government's mechanisms. given that and an increasingly more complex world brought on by the wonders of technology and the demise of morality, well, the next president is going to make some terrible decision. since nobody knows how to simply the government like saddam managed to do, what we really need is a lucky president. because it will take a lot of good luck to get over this last round of texas hold'em play by the pride of the lone star state.

I believe that there was some controversy concerning the votes in Florida for Bush's 2nd term in office. It may not be the fault of the citizens there that he was re-elected. Vice president Dick Chaney is probaby calling the shots over there anyway. The same questions could be asked of the Australian and UK public regards the Iraq invasion too.

When people stop voting based on certain issues..... but, no matter who's in office they'll be viewed as a moron... Most of the time by folks who align themselves under the other political party. Plus, when the morons running they don't appear to be morons. They are disguised in geniuses' clothing (much like when you go out on a date, you're not seeing the "real person" yet).

We aren't really given much choice in candidates. Dan Quayle, Bill Clinton, John Kerry and so on. If a reasonable person was running for office we would elect them but Bush is by far better than any of the competition. But then, what you people think and do in your own politics is your business, how about you keep your noses out of ours? It really isn't any of your business who we elect, unless of course you feel we should be involved in your political process too?

Morons will stop being elected when morons stop running for president.... if anyone truely believes that there are major differences between Republicans and Democrats, you're fooling yourself...

You are absolutely right. We should change our system. Maybe we need to have an in-bred royal family to rule us.
