In my opinion it's Italy winning the World Cup. But probably the most memorable thing that happened was the Zidane headbutt.

well there is the world cup which Italy won 5-3 penalty kicks beating France
Fabio Cannavaro winning the fifa world player of the year and European player of the year..i know that the award is every year but think is the first time in football history where a defender wins the award...thats intresting about it
Egyptian Ahly winning third place in the world club cup no one excpected that ....we were brilliant...i am Egyptian and i am really proud of there performance
Another intresting event is International beating Barca in the final of the world club cup ... every one put there vote for Barca but International scored in the final `10 minutes of the match
finally..Egypt beating Coted'evoir in the final of the African cup of nations..>>>4-2 penalty kicks...giving Egypt the fifth title..

Brazil's Ronaldo setting the highest record for goal scorer in world cups, having 15 now. And of course who could ever forget how Zinedine Zidane humiliated Marco Materazzi during the World Cup final---brilliant!!!!
