Definitely.

My best assessment is the USA will use B61-11 nuclear bunker busters to take out Iran's nuke assets. This weapon has been in the US inventory for years but has never been tested due to the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty. The closest the USA could come to testing it would be with a test such as DEVINE STRAKE, which is planned for this year. Since worst case projections puts Iran at getting a nuke in 2009, and Bush leaves office in January of that year, I would expect the USA would take out Iran's nuke assets sometime after the November election in 2008, but before Bush leaves office on Jan 20,2009.

So Mid November 08 to Mid Jan 09. A 60 day window. How is that for a prediction?

If any one uses nuclear weapons in the next 5 years, most likely it will be either the Pakistanis or the Indians (against one another), despite what some of the other answers referring to Bush believe. (remember, in america, not just bush, but 2 people have to authorize a nuclear launch, morons.) The Conflict over borders and tribal alliances on the Indian subcontinent have become increasingly violent, and Pakistan, repeatedly defeated in conventional conflicts by India, could quickly take the conflict nuclear in an act of despiration caused not only by war, but numerous seperatist movements, slavery, terrorism, and the failure of democracy. I DO NOT believe that the next nuclear conflict will directly involve the US, on account of in 2 years, Bush leaves office, and the formentioned 2 authorizations. The american government is rational and cannnot risk total seclusion from the world body over a nuclear detonation, despite what some of you apparently think.

US on Iran is a possibility.

IF the latter carries on defying and America are reluctant to incur any casualty. Just the one bomb (smallest kiloton) on an Iranian city as a warning.

The US will probably drop it on Iran because the Iranians cannot be trusted to use the bomb responsibly (like the US or Israel).

The ONLY country in the world that could use a nuclear device without EXPECTING complete and utter destruction of their own country is the US/Israel.

It won't take 5 years. Bush has already asked for tactical nukes, and they are deployed.

The world has forgotten the horrors of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. How dare any country ignore US? A reminder may be in order in the near future.

BRING ALL OF OUR TROOPS HOME NOW!!
