Women practice dismissal, fear, and preoccupation.

You need an opening line, small talk, and to close with getting her number or a date.

The number one dating advice for women is "play hard to get".

Also, no one has ever seen the start of a relationship, and obese blobs, (that are 50% of the population), have immature hysteria that causes delirium in good looking women.

A good way to get things started is to make her laugh, nothing corny or cheesy. Something genuine and clever. Start off with conversation and if things go well ask for a number. Don't book anything without knowing her interests first. Woman like to be listened to and a way we know you are listening is to prove it. Movies are so expected, again find out what she likes and be creative. Consider your surroundings and what the area has to offer. First dates should always be geared to getting to know each other better, movies and other dates that take your attention off of one another is for later.

The correct way is being yourself. Tell her how you feel. Ask her if she has plans on a specific day and then if she doesn't, go ahead and book the tickets. Then afterwards, make it a surprise.

Humour, a refreshing attitude and no expectations normally works.

You're scheming too much - which suggests a lack of humour, boring solutions and high expectations on your part.
