I think that what you actually heard was 'You reap what you sow'. Its an allusion to farming, where, whatever seeds you sow will grow and will be reaped the following season as a crop. Therefore, if you are a good person and do kind things, you can expect the same treatment from others, however, the term is often used about a person who has not treated others very well, and is now getting his just rewards in the way that life is treatng hm now.
