Make sure your connection is done the right way.connect a micro filter to your wall socket,then connect the phone wire to the area simply marked phone on the micro filter and then re-boot your computer

Is this a mobile phone? if so unplug the USB lead and download/install the phone drivers/software, it should prompt you to plug the phone in to the computer and then it should work fine
