My kitten is 6 months old and vomits what looks like undigested food on average once every two weeks. She is fed Whiskas pouches and eats no more than 2 pouches a day, so is not over eating. I have tried her on on a different brand a while ago but she didn't like it. I had her spayed just before christmas and whilst at the vets I mentioned it to the vet. She said my cat was the correct weight for her age and to put her on the adult food as the kitten food may be too rich for her. I did this but she has since vomited.
She has been wormed and is a house cat, so is not eating stuff from outside. Is this normal?

Why dont you try her on dry food? She really should stay on the kitten food until she is a year old, as it contains all the nutrients for a rapidly growing cat.

Make sure she isnt eating it like a horse, some kittens get too excited with their food, eat it too fast and then throw it up.

Also, try to groom her as much as possible. Kittens of 6months can get furballs from swallowing hair from grooming. Good luck!

I would try feeding her half kitten and half adult food mixed together and get her stomach use to the adult food rather than putting her straight onto adult. it could be that the kitten food is too rich but the adult food is not rich enough. If this doesn't work, and she is still vomiting, I would take her back to the vets, tell them everything that has been happening and they should be able to help by doing some blood tests to find out if there is something more serious causing her to vomit.
