just because they claim they are "sharing" the word of their god doesn't mean they're all going to heaven as they claim they will. they keep quoting their bible, but even the devil can quote the bible. i wonder if they know that?

I call it 007- license to sin.
They do the 1-2-3 pray after me and now you get your ticket into heaven, so you can do what you like, behave as you like, treat others badly, but hey, you're not perfect, just forgiven right?

By their own bible, it says that many will come to Jesus and say, "Lord have we not cast out devils in your name and done mighty works in your name?" and he will say to them, "Depart from me, I never knew you".

It's easier for them to beat up on us "non-believers" than it is to live a life that emulates their Christ. They throw their bible quotations at us like bullets and tell us to "read the word of God", but that isn't what their own Christ did. He didn't preach to the gentiles.. that was Paul, who, according to their own bible, didn't even know Jesus personally. They didn't have any written "word" other than the jewish TaNaKh (old testament). They didn't quote it as a means of salvation, because in Jewish belief, you don't have to convert to go to heaven. They are so far off from the God of the Hebrews it isn't funny.

Perhaps they came to their salvation as "fire insurance" and feel that's the only way to get other people to come to God.
Let's scare them into heaven.. let's use our bible as a weapon and a means of taking our aggressions out on others and then pat ourselves on the back for "witnessing for Christ."
If someone rejects our beating, we'll chalk that up to them rejecting the Word of Truth, and just "pray for them", because hey, we did our job. We showed them "the love of Jesus".

Remember what Ghandi said: "I like your Christ. I do not like your christians. Your christians are so unlike your Christ."
I agree with him totally.

Well I am truly sorry that there are born again christians bugging you. I truly am. And if they are telling you that they are going to heaven no matter what they do then they have truly misunderstood something about God. You see, they are going to heaven, but they will lose rewards for anything they do on earth that goes against God.

As for qouting bible. Often people have been taught to qoute it because it is the truth and must be qouted exactly to let it speak for itself.

Me, I'll often explain what I mean and rarely qoute the bible itself. Yet I give the meaning of the scriptures in what I say and am usually ready to give the scriptures should anyone ask.

But yes, once born again we are heaven bound and all hell cannot stop us but before we use that as an excuse to sin we should remember that it was God who did this and we are obliged to him for it.

1) We will go to heaven because:

1)Jesus died for our sins and 2)we accepted G-d's plan of salvation, because we 3)accepted Him as our personal Savior.

2)We all sin, and because of what I stated above, we have an advocate with the Father. It has been rightly said that Christians are not perfect, just forgiven, as can you.

3) Christians, especially those who read their bibles, know that Satan quotes scripture, because there is a gospel account of that happening to Jesus.

I wonder if you know that you are in good company when you rail against us, because the apostle Paul also railed against Christians, but then He had a Close Encounter of the Best Kind and the result was one of the greatest evangelists of that time.

Remember that just as He has loved us, He loves you also. The question is whether you will love yourself enough to accept His gift to you too.

Have you stopped sinning. Do you keep ever commandment do you. Are you perfect. No, then stop talking as if every single christian is going to hell. I am saved by grace, not by works, lest nobody should boast. If we had to get to Heaven just on good works and being perfect, nobody would make it, not even you. I got baptised last year in April(2005) and have also had a salvation dream given to me by Jesus himself telling me about my salvation and that it is secure. It was also backed up a prayer ministry by one of the prayer team by the holy spirit at my sisters old church, the baptist church. Jesus appeared regarding my salvation in March of 2005, one month before I got baptised. I am saved, even though I do doubt sometimes. The holy spirit will finish what he started with me. Guess what, Apositle Paul was a murderer, and is now in Heaven because of what Jesus did for him on the cross. Remember the dying theif, who at the last minute asked Jesus to remember him when he goes into his kingdom. Jesus told him that he would be with him in paradise that day. And he ment every world of it. Just ask yourself this. If God asked you why he should let you into Heaven, what would you say? I hope you would say because of the blood Jesus shed for you.

despite what they do? I dont think so. Good deeds alone wont get u into the kingdom, but Matthew tells us that 'he who practices and teaches the commandments will be considered great in heaven.' You must not just say the Word, but live it to enter the gates.

Uhhhhh because of what Jesus said to the theif on the cross next to him right before he died. "Today you will be with Me in My Father's Kingdom", even though that thief had done all those things bad that he had done.

I find it very sad that you don't want to be loved. You should do some research or something.

Did you just have a run-in with a born again Christian or something? I'm starting to notice a theme here. As for your question, born-agains to not think that sharing their gospel or quoting verses gets them into heaven - they are convinced that they are going, whether they take you with them or not. Their persistent evangelism is created within the culture of the community. Individual members are afforded greater status in the community if they come across as radical evangelists driven by pure enthusiasm.

That's just my opinion.

Except for God, nobody is perfect. Christians aren't perfect and they don't claim to be perfect. They're sinners just like you and me. But they believe they're still going to heaven because God offers all of us forgiveness. All we have to do is repent.

Let the atheists deny the existence of God as they wish.
Let the heedless people roaming the world for no purpose as they wish.
Let the believers introduce their religions as they wish.
Let each soul try at least to be responsible for his own life.
However, no human beings can deny education, so let them learn and make improvement for themselves.
