That's right, we did not have it before because Adam lost this free gift for us through him sin was passed on to all even all of us now on earth that is why Jesus sacrificed his human life for us to be able to receive this free gift of eternal life in happiness and health without death(Romans(5:12-15,18).

None of us had it before we came to faith in Gergous Jesus. It is by faith that we are saved. Jesus said you can only enter Heaven if you are born again. And we were only born again once we accepted Jesus in our lives, and confess our sins. Before that we were all dead spiritually and that would have landed us in Hell. But thanks to God we had another chance.

I think it was a second chance after the whole ten commandment debacle. So yes it was there before. God bless.

why do you have to die before you get eternal life why can you not have while you are alive it just shows what a con it is
