You can always listen to books on audio cds and cassettes, or a dvd. Is it maybe just the books you have read in the past that turned you off? If so, try to find something that will grab your interest, or if this is something you have to read for school/college etc then try to break up the reading times so it doesn't seem so long.

Figure out why you don't enjoy reading then address that issue.

Is it that you find reading difficult, in actually reading the words or just general comprehension? Are the books you read not interesting you? Are you reading only what you're told to read and not finding books that match you better?

When you know what the problem is, then you can do something about it.

Do you dislike reading because you aren't good at it, or because you have trouble concentrating? If the answer is yes, it could be that you have a learning disability like ADD. There's no shame in that, if that's the case. And don't think that only kids have it (if you're older). My sister just got diagnosed and she's 37! Now she takes something that helps her concentrate, only when she needs it, and her whole world has changed.

You will need to read all your life. Like right now.
Try to find some things that interest you. Even comic books or movie mags. You need to practice some reading. You may find that when you find subjects that you like your reading will improve on its on.
Good luck.

Choose a book. Read the title, if you don't like it, leave it, if you like it, begin to read. Than you'll find yourself finishing the book.
