I am in the process of internet dating. I have met 5 guys this year, all of which are hung up on their ex's or married/in relationships. I have really tried to be careful, ie e-mailing for a couple of weeks first etc. I know you are all going to scream 'what do you expect' but I am in my 30's and don't meet men at work or through friends. I have been single for two years.

When I am out all those I meet are married and looking for one thing! I have tried the evening classes, just 'getting out there'. Any ideas? I have been told I am fun, attractive etc and I am not 'desperate' just would like to meet a nice guy at some point......

been there, done that. There's a lot of married or separated men out there and you really don't need the complications. In your internet dating profile, I would add that you do not want to meet anyone who is currently committed or coming out of a relationship - make that clear!! Also, I'd cast your net a bit wider. Instead of going to places where women and men go, then find some interests that are usually populated by men. Try a car maintenance evening class (your local council will have deteails) ... plenty of men there. And they usually have friends so get friendly with them and see if you can get in their social circle. Go on a motorcycle or moped training course (you don't need to buy one and, anyway, it gives you excellent road skills), plenty of attentive men there. These are just ideas and there are plenty of single men there but they are nervous about going to clubs and places where girls hang around in pairs ... would you want to go up to a pair of men and start trying to chat up one? (no!). So be single and go to the places they hang out. Good luck.

If you REALLY want to meet a man for a serious relationship, then i suggest you join a proper dating agency. One where you have to pay a fee, and where they try and match you up with someone suitable. But do your homework first and make sure the agency is a reputable one. I'm sorry, i dont know any to recommend.

Where do you live? If its in the SE, UK then my friend belongs to a fun organisation called Spice which arranges all sorts of sports, fun days etc for singles.

Don't give up on the Internet; I suggest you change your profiles, drastically. Be more blunt and leave less to chance. If they still Lie, at least you'll know they are real LOSERS.
Enjoy the dates! Try not to think much about relationships at first, and don't lead them into that line of thought either. Good luck.
