Look at the structure of a helicopter: there is a rotor on top of it. It means the ejector should push the pilot through the rotor. I think it is better to die in one piece.

well lets think about that....an ejector seat propells you up out of an aircraft so you can gain altitude for your controlled descent. whats directly above you in a helecopter? BLADES!

Think about it: you're sitting in an aircraft, propelled by a OVERHEAD rotor! You ejecto-rocket out of the helicopter....and BAM!!!....get "diced and sliced" into julienne french fries by the rotor.

well in a hellicopter there are propelers or flying thin long wings that are moved by a router.....if u were to enject in a chopper u would hit the propeller,,,,,,,,,,,,,,they tryed to make them stop in the past but its to hard

why do we have to assume that ejection seats would only propel up? why can't it eject the pilot, out the sides, fron or bottom?
