Can I have Laser Skin Resurfacing performed on my legs and bum?

Question

I've just recently gotten over scabies...possibly the worst parasite ever. But, I have the horrible brown freckle-like scarring left over, and I really need to get rid of it, and fast. I've read similar articles saying to use mederma, but that takes like, six months. I was wondering if it would be possible for a cosmetic surgeon to resurface my legs and bum from the scarring. I googled it, and all I saw were eighty-year-old ladies and their hands and faces.
