There are several different methods all with different results and different prices, and unfortunately any that are really effective are going to hurt (often more than the tattoo itself did), and it's not a one-time deal either. Most tattoo removals require more than one session with the doctor, and each session is an additional cost.
Also, since your tattoo is so small, a cheaper alternative might be tattoo concealer- here's a website for that: http://www.colortration.com/tattoocover_tattoocover.htm.
I suggest this as an alternative to removal not only because removal is so expensive and painful, but because the skin where a tattoo has been removed can sometimes look unattractive...a friend of mine went through the laser procedure with a very reputable doctor but her skin ended up raised and it made the area very obvious. I'm not saying this happens to everyone- it obviously depends on the person and other factors,- but it is something to consider.
You could also try a coverup tattoo- just remember that as a general rule, the coverup must be at least 3 times bigger than the original tattoo in order to draw the eye away from the original design.
Definitely check out my link sources below for more detailed info on the different procedures and costs and for info on tattoo concealer...
Hope this helps and good luck! :)

Years ago I had a home made tattoo and hated it.
I went a tattoo shop & told the guy there I wanted him to white wash it for me. Well... he talked me into a cover up and I have never been so happy with the new one.
Either the one costs and hurts the same, so why not have a coverup.

There is a product out called wrecking balm that works without lasers and stuff you just apply it to your tattoo. I hear that it works but have never seen the results first hand.

I've heard that it is very painful to have it removed, twice as much as it was getting it. I know there are different types of laser treatments and depending on where you go to get it done, it can be expensive.
