I live in Washington State. Is it legal for an officer to pull me over soley because my front license plate is in the front windshield instead of the license plate bracket. It just fell off a few days ago..

You have to have a license plate visible in the "front". So you could have it inside of the windshield.

Everyone has to have a back license plate, but not every state requires a front license plate. They'd probably get a ticket. My brother got pulled over for no front license plate (in Ohio we have to have both) and got off with a warning as long as he got one on there within two weeks.

You can be pulled over for having a scratch on your car, for having a red car, for driving too perfect, for having too nice of a car. Basically they say they need a reason, they don't. If they want to pull you over they will, then if you ask they'll make something up like you swerved over the line. Its the thing you can't prove. Just don't smile or look like your happy and they'll leave you alone, they don't like happy people because they think you have a leg up on them. And they will show you all the power they possess

Not all states do, but Washington does require plates front and back.

I do not know about Washington State but you can in Wisconsin.They stop you for improper display of plates

If it is not easily visible then you can be pulled over. If your car was stolen and the thief took off the plates, would you want the police to pull him over? Probably.

It is your responsibility to see that it is affixed in the right place before you go out into the public streets. Yes, the officer is justified in pulling you over and ticketing you, if that is what he wants to do.

I live in WA and yes they can, though they will most likely give you a warning.
Your plate will be run and your DL will get run too if they pull you over.

Your plates are supposed to be in "PLAIN FEW" at all times. Did ya tell him/her your plate had just fallen off, and as soon as you got to your destination you would re hook it where it belonged.
