I don't know this hotel and I wish I could recommend my hotel because but I don;t remember the name. Bangkok is the last place I would spend on a Honeymoon. It has some interestin things to see as a tourist but it is very dirty. I would go to Koh Samui or one of the islands if I were you.

Nana is in mid town. My dad own its some 25 years ago. He sold it in the 70s. The hotel turns to be the place for mostly middle-eastern people. Although it's mid town; i.e. Sukhumvit soi 4 I think, it's in the middle of stray 'shadow girls; who are mostly northeast Thais, or Russians'. Stay out of Nana, go to Landmark, which is close by, or Imerperial Queens park, which is very close to Emporium, a really nice shopping centre. Great hotel in Bangkok would be the Oriental, but it's kind of upmarket and expensive, otherwise there are many more hotels in Bangkok these days that I don't even know them all.
If your budget is OK, try the five stars, they are really good, and some are even on par with the Rite Hotel, or the Plaza, Four Season, or many of the great hotel.
Spend a little more. Hotels in Bangkok offer much more for the same price as in Eupore, or even more. I think you could do well with 80 dollars to a 100s in five stars hotel for the occassion you say. Try the web reservation, they're good and cheaper than booking direct at the hotel. But after you've got the booking call the hotel to make sure they have your reservation a couple of days after you've got confirmation from the web.
Good luck and best choice for Thailand's honeymoon. Suggest you go north to Chiangmai, Chianrai, Lampang and many places in the north, they are very romantic especially this time of the year where there are lots and lots of flowers.

For a honeymoon in Bangkok I would have thought down by the river would be more romantic. You can go on a candlelit dinner cruise on The Chao Phraya River. There's plenty of other stuff to do in Bangkok. Questions about what to do in Bangkok come up on these pages all the time, just look for a resolved one from the last few days if you want info. on this. I think the might even be a live question on the topic.

Anyway, by the river has lots of luxury hotels. Maybe Bangkok Marriott Resort & Spa would be good. The price at the moment is around USD165 a night for a Deluxe room and around USD195 for a Deluxe Room, River view.

As for the Nana hotel itself, it would probably be OK but, depending on how you are for cash, something a bit more special for a honeymoon? Do you really want to tell people that you stayed in the Nana Hotel on your honeymoon? People are just going to say 'why of all the hotels in Bangkok, the Nana hotel?' what are you going to say?

Hi Angela - well, thanks for a good laugh - at first I thought this might be a joke.. Why would anyone want to spend their honeymoon in the dead heart center of the 2 biggest red light districts in Thai.. Nana Hotel is directly across the street from Nana Plaza which is a 3 story plaza of go go bars.. If you are into that, the Hotel is very convenient and your hotel companions will be there for that proximity.. Pattaya is a not too pretty beach resort w/maybe 10,000 bars and 100,000 available ladies.. Thailand is a lovely country, but for a honeymoon there are many many many many better choices here, depending upon what you like - the place is full of romantic beaches..

Yes, Nana Hotel is located in adilt entertainment area. And it's all depends on you. You can avoid that, you don't have to explaore the nightlife in Bangkok during Honeymoon.

Why Bangkok? You can have more romantic moment in Northorn part of Thailand or enjoy beautiful beach in Easthern or southern part of Thaland.

Not far from Bangkok(2hours), you can go to Koh Samet. There are nice sweet Resort (www.samedresorts.com) and
economical Bungalow there (http://www.samed-island.com)

Or if your boyfriend insist to stay at Nana Hotel, it's OK.
You can have Romantic days in Bangkok too by having Dinner cruise along ChaoPraya River and follow by colorful coaktails at Sky Bar (Sirocco - 1 of the 10 best bar in the world)
Furthermore, you can enjoy spa package for lovers that you can check it out from webbies or when you are in Bangkok.

PS: avoid GoGo bar or PingPong Show - not a good idea for Honeymoon trip.

Berlin has an contemporary mixture of new and common structure, dynamic leisure, buying, and a wide variety of sports and ethnic institutions and if you intend to see after that it this hotelbye is the area to start. Some of the points you will see here are: the Old Museum, the National Gallery, the Bode Museum, Old National Gallery or, the mark of Germany, the Berlin Wall. That wall started his life in 1961 when East Germany covered down the eastern the main town to base the flood of refugees from east to west. By the full time it had been divided down in 1989, the 4 meter high wall and 155 kilometres long, dissected 55 streets, and possessed 293 remark systems and 57 bunkers. Today, only little stretches of the graffiti-covered travesty stay, including a 1.4-kilometer stretch maintained within the Berlin Wall Memorial, a chilling note of the animosity that when separated Europe.

You've got to be kidding. I think your boyfriend is looking to hire a woman and hoping for a threesome or something with you. Maybe even more than one woman and hope he can live out some fantasy with or without you. You definitely need to insist on a new hotel. This is the main adult entertainment area for foreigners. Keep him in your sights the whole time you're there. You surely need to talk to him about this. That hotel is also a dump with bad service anyway. Get a place with good ratings for service and nice rooms, not that rathole.

Every where in BKK You will find an "adult entertainment area" ---- Welcome to the real world! It is Thailand, Asia.
Everyone likes to be entertained. What's wrong with that!?
Even the high-class-hotels like "Sheraton" / Sukumvit or "Shangri-La" have their own entertainment or are very close to those areas... It is a wonderful world --- but men AND women like some fun and entertaining...
Honeymoon in Thailand !!!! That's the BEST what ever happened to a girl like You... You must be very lucky !!!

I wish You both a good honeymoon and
a Happy New Year...

Je... I am a bit sad, because I wish to fly with You...
As the "best man" and a perfect tour-guide. And I know Thailand / BKK better than Berlin... Aaron.
