For my new year's resolution I want to undergo a complete makeover. I want to get my teeth fixed [I'm already fixing this, with braces in February], I want to get rid of my eczema, and I want to eat better to lose a lot of weight. I'll admit I don't have the best diet out there. I eat a lot of junk food, which is probably why I weigh so much. Or maybe it's genetics, I don't know. But what I do know is that I'm sick of how I look. I already have an exercise plan worked out, but I need help with the nutrition part. How can I get the courage to try new, healthy foods? And what are some healthy snack foods I can eat? But mostly, how do I fess up and try new stuff? Please don't be critical of me, I'm trying to get healthier. I don't want to be fat for the rest of my life.

first, think POSITIVE. think like that "i think i can" train. if you believe in yourself, it's more easier to achieve your goals.
get a buddy to do these things with you. so that you two can help each other and motivate each other.
try some new recipes. sometimes there are really YUMMY and healthy foods but you have to try it to believe it. prevention.com is a good site for weight loss and recipes. eat more veggies and fruits and whole grains. less butter, oils, sugar, salt and fat. eat lean meat such as eggs (dont eat over 2 a day). tofu has a good protein source. eat more dietery fiber. it keeps you full longer so you will be less likely to reach for fattening stuff. eat 5 small meals in a day instead of 3 large meals. then you wont overeat and you will be statisfied. =D also try sweet potatoes, yam, celery, carrots, spinach, bananas and such. drink lots of water and less soda and high calories stuff. limit your desserts. especially cakes. cakes are really fattening. if u want dessert, eat a sweet soup or jello. drink green tea. oh, eat apples and oranges and other citrus. when you cook, try steaming your food. dont fry them in oil. try using olive oil and eat avocado. dont eat outside so often because they often use lots of oil and fattening stuff.
good luck! im glad you are thinking about your future. hope you will be healthier!

If you cut the Junk , you are already 50% there. But be firm.
With that , exercise regularly ( I mean 3-5 times a week ) and drinking exclusively lots of water and unsweetened tea , you will start losing weight which will motivate you a lot. Starting healthy plans and new recipes can work once you are excited about the weight you are already losing. It's when it will become a new lifestyle for you. Good luck , you are already in the right path.

Think of it as already done. Think of yourself as already thin and live thin and it will come about.
